1951 film. PG. Alfred Hitchcock’s film noir about two men who attempt to get away with the ‘perfect murder’.

Classic Film Screening: Strangers on a Train (1951)

In Alfred Hitchcock's film noir thriller, tennis star Guy Haines is enraged by his promiscuous wife Miriam and her refusal to finalize their divorce so he can wed Anne Morton, the daughter of a U.S. Senator.

During a train journey, wealthy smooth-talking psychopath Bruno Antony recognizes Guy and reveals his idea for a murder scheme: two strangers meet and "swap murders" — Bruno suggests he kill Miriam and Guy kill Bruno's hated father. Each will murder a stranger, with no apparent motive, so neither will be suspected - it's the perfect murder ... or is it?
