Get Creative with Glass - A Taster Workshop Just for Teens!

This 2-hour glass fusing taster session at The Core in Solihull is designed just for teens - a hands-on, creative workshop where you’ll design and make your very own fused glass piece to take home.

No experience needed, no artistic background required - just a willingness to experiment and have fun. Melissa will guide you through everything step by step, so you can focus on being creative and making something you’re genuinely proud of.

What will I learn?

Over the 2 hours, you’ll get stuck into glass fusing from the ground up, including:

• Health & safety - how to handle glass and work safely in a workshop environment
• Cutting and preparing your glass - learning the basics of working with glass and arranging your design
• Working with colour and texture - using coloured glass, frit, and enamel powders to bring your ideas to life
• Surface design - experimenting with decorative techniques to make your piece unique to you

By the end of the session, you’ll have created your own glass artwork and discovered a craft you might just want to keep exploring!

What’s included?

• Everything you need is provided - just bring your imagination! Each session includes:
• Glass materials - clear base glass and a selection of coloured glass, frit, and decorative media
• Full use of all tools and equipment, including glass cutters
• Expert tuition with Melissa Keskinkilinc, supporting you through every step
• A finished fused glass piece to take home once fired (this will need collecting from The Core once fired)

Places are limited to keep the group small and the session enjoyable - so book early to secure your spot!
