Read to the Bhangra Beat is a storytime filled with song, dance, rhyme, bhangra music and street dance culture. Children and their grown-ups will also have the exciting opportunity to join the fun!
Let's create our own 'Reading to the Beat' pattern and rhythm while reading popular children's books. Fun, exciting, enjoyable and vibrant sessions that will boost imaginations!
Sohan Kailey will be reading books written by South Asian writers. This collaboration of music and reading will use the universal appeal of music to tackle the decline in children's reading enjoyment and inspire a new generation of readers.
This will further promote listening, communication, literacy and language skills in a shared friendly atmosphere. It's time to boost the imaginations and let young readers shine!
