Before Odyssey's formation, sisters Lillian, Louise, and Carmen Lopez performed as "The Lopez Sisters" in the 1960s, concluding their run after a European tour. Years later, in the mid-1970s, Lillian and Louise Lopez formed an entirely new project - Odyssey - with Tony Reynolds, marking the beginning of a fresh musical journey. Their breakthrough came in late 1977 with 'Native New Yorker', launching Odyssey into international success.
Odyssey achieved multiple UK Top 10 hits including:
- 'Native New Yorker' (1977)
- 'Use It Up and Wear It Out' (#1)
- 'If You're Looking For A Way Out'
- 'Inside Out'
- 'Going Back To My Roots'
Today's Odyssey, led by Steven Collazo (son of founding member Lillian Lopez), masterfully bridges classic and contemporary sounds. Following the passing of Lillian Lopez-Collazo Jackson (2012) and Louise Lopez (2015), Steven continues the family legacy, introducing Odyssey to new generations while honouring their classic sound.
