If you're looking for sheer escape, this is your ticket!
This 2022 revision of the hilarious shipboard romp features a revised script and music.
'Anything Goes' is a classic musical set aboard the S.S. American, featuring a whirlwind of romantic escapades, mistaken identities, and catchy Cole Porter songs.
The story concerns madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy Number 13, "Moonface" Martin, aid Billy in his quest to win Hope.
The score to the shenanigans-at-high-seas story includes a bevy of old-school delights, including the messianic barn-burner ‘Blow, Gabriel, Blow’, the whimsically romantic ‘It’s De-lovely’, the toe tapping “You’re The Top” and “I Get A Kick Out Of You” and the unstoppable title tune, “Anything Goes”.
