Spring is in the air, and The Core Theatre is bringing Solihull alive this April with drama, laughter, music, and magic moments!

Choose George - Celebrating George Michael comes to The Core Theatre on Thursday 2 April, celebrating early Wham hits through to George Michael’s later solo work.

On Sunday 5 April you can step into the world of Motown and experience the magic behind the music that defined an era with The Story Behind Motown.

On Wednesday 8 April, The Music Man and Mimic Show is a feel-good afternoon of music and comedy guaranteed to have you singing and laughing.

Get ready for an eclectic mix of entertainment, spectacular performances, and fun for all the family at Solihull Shines on Friday 10 April – a fundraising variety performance that shines a light on the best young musicians and performers that Solihull has to offer. 

A Big Egg matinee show on Saturday 11 April is perfect for families looking to spark curiosity, share joyful moments, and experience a heartfelt celebration of life’s little wonders! Also on 11 April, The Story of Swing takes you on a musical journey through decades of the iconic genre of swing and big band music.

Step inside the magical world of Willy Wonka in Peterbrook Players’ enchanting production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, from Tuesday 14 to Saturday 18 April.

Saturday 18 April sees Alchemy ReLived: Dire Straits Tribute perform songs from the band's entire history in the Studio at The Core.

Step into history on Wednesday 22 April with Mark Smith – Antiques Expert on the Road - the Medals & Militaria expert from BBC TV’s Antiques Roadshow.

Celebrate National Shakespeare Day and St George’s Day on Thursday 23 April with a special morning screening of the multi-Oscar winning romantic comedy Shakespeare in Love. Later the same day, you can see Doctor Who alumni Colin Baker and Terry Molloy present Sherlock Holmes & The Sign of Four – a radio play live on stage.

Then on Friday 24 April enjoy 100 Years Celebration of Laurel & Hardy - Presented by Neil Brand.

There’s more comedy in the Studio on the same night with monthly comedy club Funny to The Core - Slim.

To end the month, Solihull on Stage invite you to journey under the sea with The Little Mermaid, from Tuesday 28 April to Saturday 2 May.
