There are lots of fun family activities, shows and workshops at The Core over the summer holidays to keep the whole family entertained.
Creative workshops at The Core
Budding singers and brilliant young vocalists will enjoy our singing workshops on Thursday 30 July. Sing the Magic (ages 7-11) is a fun and engaging Disney-themed singing session, while Pop Project (ages 11-16) is an opportunity to learn chart-topping songs and upbeat choreography in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Create, direct and star in your own film with our Young Filmmakers workshops. 11-16 year olds can enjoy three days of filmmaking fun on Tuesday 4 – Thursday 6 August. 7-11 year olds can choose between a spooky themed session on Monday 10 August or a comedy-themed workshop on Friday 21 August – or why not try both!
Read to the Bhangra Beat on Friday 14 August is for kids aged 4-10 and their grown-ups to enjoy a storytime filled with song, dance, rhyme, bhangra music and street dance culture.
Unleash your creativity with our fun & welcoming theatre workshop, Play in a Day (Friday 14 August for ages 7-11, Wednesday 19 August for ages 11-16). Play games, collaboratively tell stories, learn theatre techniques and work together to create an exciting new play in a day with a professional actor and theatre maker!
Try your hand at juggling, flower sticks, plate spinning and a variety of other circus skills before taking to the air in an aerial hoop in the Circus and Aerial Adventure Workshops on Monday 17 August.
Get creative with glass by taking part in our Glass Fusing workshops on Friday 28 August! Experience the magic of working with coloured glass – 7-11 year olds can work with their parent/guardian to make a beautiful glass suncatcher, or 11-16 year olds can get stuck into designing and making their very own glass fused piece to take home.
