October half term fun at The Core starts this Sunday 27 October with an elephant-themed arts fun day to celebrate Diwali, You’ll have the chance to help out making elephant artworks. You can also create Diwali themed puppets, giant rangoli patterns and community murals inspired by Indian miniatures. This event with Art at The Heart CIC runs from 12pm-4pm and tickets must be booked in advance.
Later on Sunday, dress up, glow up and sparkle with the Sari Sari Night Lantern Parade through Solihull town centre. This FREE event promises to be a dazzling evening of food, music and dance! The parade starts at 4pm at The Core and winds through the town centre before returning to Theatre Square (outside The Core/Touchwood).
Then on Thursday 31 October, The Core welcomes Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale The Jungle Book to The Studio theatre. Mowgli’s daring adventures in the jungle are brought to life by Indigo Moon Theatre in an inventive shadow theatre show that’s perfect for families.
