There are barrels of laughs to be had at The Core this spring with a vibrant and varied programme of comedy including Funny to The Core, the monthly comedy club bringing the best and funniest UK comedy talent to Solihull! Here’s what’s coming up…

On Wednesday 25 March, comedian Geoff Norcott returns to The Core Theatre with his new tour, Basic Bloke 2 - There's No Bloke Without Fire. As seen on Have I Got News For You, Live at The Apollo, Question Time and more, this is Geoff’s first tour under a Labour government – so he’s got plenty to get off his chest!

Funny to The Core returns to the Studio on Friday 27 March with a hilarious night of stand-up comedy headlined by comedian and ‘All Killa No Filla’ podcaster Rachel Fairburn. Rachel has been described by Rolling Stone as ‘very much the Rock ‘n’ Roll star of British comedy’ and has been a staple of the Edinburgh Fringe since 2014.

On Wednesday 8 April, The Music Man and Mimic Show is a great feel good afternoon music and comedy show in the Studio guaranteed to have you singing and laughing in the aisles.

Celebrate 100 years of Laurel and Hardy on Friday 24 April with a brand-new show presented by Neil Brand. Thanks to new restorations of their silent films, Neil will uncover gems of hilarity from the duo whose comedy never ages and bring them to life with live piano improvisations.

Also on Friday 24 April, stand-up star Slim headlines April’s Funny to The Core in the Studio. The undisputed king of the Black British comedy circuit, Slim’s popular brand of humour is generous, smart and bursting with infectious energy.

Finally, don’t miss Funny to The Core as it moves to the main theatre on Saturday 9 May, with headliner Shappi Khorsandi (pictured above)! Comedian and best-selling author Shaparak “Shappi” Khorsandi is a celebrated British-Iranian comedian known for her fearless, funny takes on identity, family, and modern life.
