Major art exhibitions come to life and West End theatre productions take centre stage all on the big screen at The Core Theatre this season! Here’s what’s coming up:

Olivier Award-winner Hiran Abeysekera (Life of Pi) stars in NT Live: Hamlet (Wed 4 March), a fearless, contemporary take on Shakespeare’s famous tragedy. Trapped between duty and doubt, surrounded by power and privilege, young Prince Hamlet dares to ask the ultimate question – you know the one.

Returning to cinemas for the first time in over a decade, Helen Mirren plays Queen Elizabeth II in NT Live: The Audience. Captured live from London’s West End in 2013, this Olivier and Tony Award®-winning hit production inspired Netflix series The Crown. See it on Wed 11 March, Mon 23 March and Wed 1 April.

Exhibition on Screen: Turner and Constable (Mon 23 March and Wed 8 April) is an unmissable new documentary exploring Turner and Constable’s intertwined lives and legacies. Discover unexpected sides to both artists with intimate views of sketchbooks and insights from leading experts.

NT Live: All My Sons is a triumphantly acclaimed new production of Arthur Miller’s classic play, featuring Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and Marianne Jean-Baptiste (Hard Truths). When wartime delivers profits for Joe, it comes at a price when his partner is charged with criminal manufacturing deals, and his eldest son goes missing in action. Will peacetime bring peace of mind, or will he face the consequence of his actions? Showing on Wed 6 May and Tue 26 May.

Exhibition on Screen: Frida Kahlo (Wed 3 June) will take you on a journey through the life of an icon, uncovering the true story of her rebellious, passionate and turbulent life. Exhibition on Screen’s award-winning film – first released during Covid to a restricted audience - is back by popular demand with exciting additional material from the 2026 Tate exhibition.

In NT Live: The Playboy of The Western World, Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton) joins Éanna Hardwicke (The Sixth Commandment) and Siobhán McSweeney (Derry Girls) in John Millington Synge’s riveting play of youth and self-discovery. See it on Wed 3 June and Wed 24 June.

Finally, NT Live: Les Liaisons Dangereuses will be showing on Wed 8 July and Wed 29 July. BAFTA Award winner Lesley Manville (Phantom Thread) joins Aidan Turner (Rivals) in a striking new staging of Christopher Hampton’s celebrated adaptation of the classic novel, where among the glittering salons of the super-rich, one misstep can mean ruin.
