Want to build confidence and have fun Love the idea of performing comedy but feeling a bit nervous? Or just in need of a boost?
This six week course will take you through creative ways of writing comedy material in different forms, practicing your confidence on stage, acting out material, and after 6 weeks of coaching - performing your own five minutes of stand up comedy to an audience of friends and family.
The final session will take place on Thursday 6 April, and will be a showcase for friends and family in the studio.
Run by Rachel Sambrooks, writer and performer of stand up comedy, finalist in 'So You Think You Write Funny/Sitcom Trials', she also has been heard on BBC Radio and hosted her own podcast series 'Stand By Your Nan'. Rachel is an i-act positive wellbeing practitioner and will make the course a playful and inclusive space for you to embrace your inner comic and be confident in finding, developing and delivering your own five minutes of material.
